Blue's Clues Art Appreciation Project
This latest Blue's Clues game
stresses art awareness, imagination, and motor skills. Click your mouse on the
various craft items from the left of the canvas they'll stick. Then move them to
any spot on the canvas and click your mouse again to set them into place. When
you are finished with your work of art, click the Animate button to show it to
Blue and see what happens.
Blue's Clues Bubble Matching
Blowing Matching Bubbles is a
game in which preschoolers help Slippery Soap make his bubbles the right size.
When the game begins, Slippery begins to blow a bubble, and it gets bigger and
bigger. You must click Slippery when the bubble reaches the same size as the
highlighted bubble on the screen. In subsequent rounds, you must click Slippery
when his bubble grows to a size larger than one bubble on the screen, but
smaller than another bubble. When you answer correctly, Slippery dances to the
music.
Blue's Clues Cash Register Fun
It's time to go shopping with
Blue, are you ready to spend money? Let's go! You have twelve blue dollars to
spend at the store, you can buy a toy car, and sunglasses or anything else you
might want! Just click on a blue dollar and feed it to the cash register until
you have enough to buy the item you want.
Blue's Clues Birthday
This visual perception game
takes your child into the festive world of Blue's Birthday party. There are
three scenes to this party, and each one consists of a different activity. The
first scene asks you to assist Blue in setting the birthday table, and find the
missing items. The second scene requires you to match the present to the giver.
The third scene asks you to use your motor skills to "pin the flag on the
mailbox."
Blue's Clues Draw and Color
Blue wants to draw and color
pictures of her friends! Use the crayons to help her. This is both a drawing and
coloring game. There is both a drawing pad for free drawing and an assortment of
Blue's Clues characters for coloring. The game starts with a blank canvas to
draw on. Pick a crayon color you would like to use and click on the drawing pad
with your mouse to start drawing. To draw a line hold the mouse button down and
slowly move it in the direction you want to draw. To erase what you have drawn
click ERASE (this will clear the drawing pad). If you would like to color simply
click on a character you would like to use. To color use the mouse as you did
when drawing.
Blue's Clues Dress-Up
The Felt Friends are getting
ready to go out, and they are trying to find costumes that match. Can players
help Blue and the Felt Friends find the matching outfits? Players only have
three choices- two of which match. Since one Felt Friend is a girl and one is a
boy, that narrows it down quite a bit! The Felt Friends may be dressing for
dinner or swimming on the beach, but they can't be dressed for dinner while
swimming on the beach! This game works on problem solving skills, but cleverly
disguises the learning in a fun, first dress up game for tykes.
Blue's Clues Fairy Tales
Learn about fairy tales with
Blue while playing a matching game that needs no words! Match the character to
the book in which they belong by clicking and dragging them to the correct book.
We all know how Grandma's eyes were so big in "Little Red Riding Hood", so it's
easy to match the wolf with his story! The download includes "Rapunzel",
"Princess and the Pea", "Cinderella", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Hansel and
Gretel", and of course, "Little Red Riding Hood".
Blue's Clues Feelings
Feelings is a game in which
preschoolers try to match the "Feeling Cards" with the expression on the faces
of the characters. When the game begins, you are asked to figure out what Blue
is feeling. Then you click on a "Feeling Card" that matches the feeling. The
choices are happy, sad, mad, and scared. When the correct match is made, you win
and Blue dances to the music. You can also match the feelings of Little Kitten
and Purple Kangaroo.
Blue's Clues Hide and Seek
Blue's playing hide-and-seek!
Can you find her? In this visual perception game for children, you're playing
hide-and-seek with the famous dog Blue. In the first scene, Blue's at a concert
listening to Lady Bassett sing the blues. But everyone else in the crowd is blue
too! If you look closely, you'll see Blue move. When you find her, click on her
with your mouse and she'll come right over. In the second scene, Blue's hiding
in one of her Halloween costumes. This time, Blue stays still, but if you roll
your cursor over the right costume, she'll bark. When you hear Blue bark, click
on the costume and she'll come out to play. Each scene repeats several times,
with Blue's hiding spot randomly changing.
Blue's Clues Jigsaws
Kids can help Blue put together
some jigsaw puzzles - this one will take a little skill.
The pieces can overlap, so you might need to demonstrate to the child that they
can move the unused pieces over to the side where Blue and friends sit while
solving it. The first puzzle starts out with 4 pieces, the next with 6, and then
one with 9 pieces. If the 9 piece puzzle is too hard, just hit the [PARENTS]
button and then hit PLAY again, and you're back to 4 pieces. We counted 5
different pictures, so this program should give repeated play
Blue's Clues Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope Pictures is a game
in which preschoolers try to match the picture in the
kaleidoscope with the corresponding object in the room. The game begins with
Blue looking through a kaleidoscope at a distorted image of an object in the
room. You must click on the matching object. Once you have figured out three
images, you win the game and Blue dances to the music. A variety of pictures
appear randomly in the kaleidoscope every time the game is played.
Blue's Clues Let's Dream
Join Blue, Slippery Soap, and
all their friends for a game of thinking and matching. Someone starts the game
by describing a dream. It's up to players to help figure out which picture
matches that person's dream. Did Paprika grow up to become a chef, a
photographer, or maybe a musician?
Blue's Clues Lights On, Lights Off
Lights On, Lights Off is a game
for preschoolers to test their recognition and memory skills by trying to figure
out which toy Blue put away. Toys are scattered all over Blue's room, and she
wants to clean up. You turn off the light, and then when you turn the light on
again, you try to figure out which toy Blue put in the toy box. The toys vary
each time the game is played.
Blue's Clues Snowflake Matching
It's snowing! Blue, Mr. Salt,
and Mrs. Pepper are checking out the intricate patterns on the snowflakes. Kids
can play the game by finding two snowflakes that match!
Blue's Clues Musical Instruments
This latest Blue's Clues game
stresses sound recognition. When the game begins, you will see three instruments
in a living room. When you hear the sound of one of those instruments, you must
click on the instrument that matches the sound. When you choose the correct
instrument, you win and Blue dances to a special Blue's Clues musical number.
You will hear a different instrument each time you play.
Blue's Clues Picture Patterns
Blue is trying to organize her
photo album. Look at the pictures carefully, then out them in chronological
order. Which was first? Did Blue paint a picture before or after she took out
the paints?
Blue's Clues Picture Riddles
Blue, Pail, and Shovel are
solving picture riddles. If there is a bird and a house, the answer would be
"birdhouse". Kids get a multiple choice of three pictures to solve the riddle.
They must click and drag to get the correct answer.
Blue's Clues Popsicle Shapes
Help Blue finish building a
picture with Popsicle sticks. There are several different sizes and colors, so
be sure to pick the one that fits. Take a look at the cool art on the wall, too.
It may hold a clue!
Help Blue Put Tickety Back Together
Put Tickety Back Together is
the latest in the Blue's Clues collection of matching and identification games.
When the game begins, you'll see Tickety Tock in the middle of the screen with
three objects to her right. One of these objects belongs on Tickety. Choose
which object is Tickety's missing piece, and drag it to its correct spot on her
face. When you make the right choice, Blue smiles and everyone cheers. After you
replace one missing piece, you'll be asked to do the same with two more pieces.
When all of Tickety Tock's pieces have been put back in the right places, Blue
does her Happy Paw Dance.
Blue's Clues Race Cars
Wow! Gravity works! See which
car goes faster. Will it belong to Shovel or Pail? Kids
can even add blocks or take them away to change the slope of the ramp. Have fun
racing cars!
Blue's Clues Recycle Game
Blue and the Recycling Triplets
are doing their chores and have to sort through the refuse. Kids learn to tell
the difference in metal, plastic, and paper objects by helping put things into
the right bins. Players don't have to know the difference in the substances to
play the game, because our friends, the Recycling Triplets, drop us hints.
Blue's Clues Shadows
Help Blue, Shovel, and Pail
find the shadow that belongs to the object. Kids who play must help pick out
which shadow belongs with the pig, the telephone, or the parrot. Click on the
green arrow to move on.
Blue's Clues Does It Sink or Float
The game starts with the
bathroom sink full of water and a variety of objects resting on the rim. The
audio instructions will tell you to drag each object into the sink and see if it
sinks or floats! When you have tried all three objects, you can play again. The
objects on the sink will vary randomly each time you play the game.
Blue's Clues Teeter Totter
Play with Blue and his best
bunny bud on a teeter-totter. Blue has several different sizes of blocks. They
seem to be broken into quarters, halves, and wholes. Balance the teeter-totter
by placing the same weight on either end. Listen to the bunny for the first
couple of minutes- he will explain the game. This game teaches rudimentary
fractions and counting.
Blue's Clues Thankful Game
Blue and Steve want to know
what you are thankful for. This association and recognition game asks your child
to show what it is he or she is grateful for. The game is divided up into two
parts: the first part is a matching game where you match the characters with
what they give thanks for, and the second game gives you the chance to create
your own personalized Thankful Book, showing what you are grateful for.
Blue's Clues Tic-Tac-Toe
Kids get to practice three
times before jumping into a challenging game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Players must pop
the felt "O" onto the board with two others to make three in a row. Steve, Blue
and their Felt Friend will help with an encouraging "yeh" or discouraging "no"
when players click on a square. Once the practice rounds are over, Felt Friend
challenges kids to a real game! "X" has to think about where they should play to
stop "O" from getting three in a row. But no matter who wins, Blue dances a
victory jig and sings a little tune!
Blue's Clues Time Race
This latest Blue's Clues
matching game invites your child to test his or her visual literacy and develop
labeling skills in relation to time concepts. When the game begins, you'll see
Grandfather Clock and three pictures on the screen. When you're ready to start,
Grandfather Clock says, "Ready, GO!" and his hands start ticking to reveal a
picture that is hidden on his face. You must match one of the three pictures on
the screen with this picture as it is revealed. If you successfully match the
picture before your time runs out, you WIN and Blue dances! If you don't match
it by the time the entire picture is exposed, you get a chance to try and match
the next picture.
Blue's Clues Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt is
a game in which preschoolers help Blue find the hidden objects and get to the
treasure. The game contains three different treasure hunt scenes and a treasure
map. In each scene you have to find a particular object that is hidden
somewhere. You can check the treasure map to see which object you need to find
in that particular scene. Objects can be found by clicking around with your
mouse. When you click the correct object, it appears on your map and you and
Blue will travel to the next scene. There are many little surprises you may
encounter along the way, so you may want to click anything you find interesting.
Once you complete all three scenes you will find the hidden treasure and win.
Blue's Clues Water Xylophone
Help Blue, and the Spice
family, make beautiful aquatic tunes. First, fill the jars with water from the
water pitcher. Then plunk the glass with a spoon to create one of five possible
pitches. An empty jar will make a high sound. Filling the glasses will lower the
pitch. After filling all the glass jars, hit play on the radio to hear the
magical, musical creation in order- first to last glass. Or use the
old-fashioned manual control
(spoon) to play many different tunes! We resonated the kitchenware with a tiny
excerpt from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, a snippet from The Sea and Sinbad's
Ship¿, and very small piece of Tchaikovsky's, The Nutcracker Suite. The five
possible notes limit musical creations to those that don't use B-flat. However,
Blue can introduce music and pitch to kids in a fun and playful way!
Blue's Clues Weight and Balance
Kids can help Blue learn about
"less and more" with a weighty friend. They can set food on the scale to see
which weighs more. Steve needs help packaging groceries. He will ask for help
filling up the bag, and kids must figure out which item is next. Small children
will need help from their parent with reading the instructions, but will pick up
some rudimentary math skills.
Blue's Clues What Does Paprika Need
Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper has
left Blue and Steve with Paprika for a little while. Kids can help figure out
what Paprika needs. Is she cold, hungry, or messy? Keep her happy and eventually
she'll settle in!
Blue's Clues What's Making That Noise
Blue needs your help to figure
out what's making that sound. Use the green arrow buttons to move around the
landscape and find what you think may be making that sound. When you correctly
match the sound heard with where it's coming from, you win and Blue does her
"happy-paw-dance"! Keep in mind that the sounds may come from animals as well as
the natural environment they live in. This game uses sounds from the following:
a frog, a bumblebee, a cricket, a bird, a river, a thunderstorm, a rain storm,
and leaves blowing in the wind. The various sounds will occur at random
throughout the game.
