Lawrence County and Greene County Missouri Ice Storm January 2007

These ice storm photographs were taken by La Wanna Jones on January 18, 2007 Email Me Here are one hundred and six ice storm photographs taken in Lawrence County and Greene County in Missouri on January 18, 2007 which is six days after the first wave of the storm hit.  The ice is so thick on utility poles and trees they are snaping like twigs. Rural communities has MANY more miles of downed poles but far fewer workers to repair them. Some rural residents will be without power for up to a month. That means a month with no well (which means no water for people or animals) unless they have a way to haul haul haul water.
