The Red Fox Keepers at Dickerson Park Zoo Springfield

When the keepers come in to clean and feed, Maid Marion stays as far away as she can.  I guess she is not as brave and curious as Robin Hood.

Do you know what a keeper is?  A keeper is a very very special person.  A keeper loves animals a whole lot.  They come to the zoo everyday and take care of the animals.  The keepers come take care of the animals no matter how hot or how cold it is. They clean up after the animals all the time.  They feed the animals.  They teach the animals things.  The keepers even help take care of the animals if they get sick.  The keepers also do something else very wonderful.  Do you know what it is?  Keepers at all the zoos spend time teaching people about animals and where animals live. Without keepers we would not have any animals in our zoo. So when you see a keeper at the zoo, wave and smile because they are very special people.

The keepers at Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, Missouri are extra special !! Just as me, I'll tell you they sure are!!
