Pygmy Marmosets usually live in a group of 5-7 members.  The group is usually a mother, father and some of their offspring from current and previous litters. Living in family units like this help the juveniles learnt to be good parents by helping to care for their younger siblings. Also having the help caring for the young the parents are not worn out as the babies grow.  Sometimes there can be 2 males in this family unit, however one is dominant.
