Happy Thanksgiving !! Everyone loves brownies. Brownies are the perfect gift and you'll love our Brownies in a Jar. All you need is a one quart jar that you can pick up at your local craft store. Just take the ingredients for the Double Fudge Brownie Mix and fill the jar. You can make the jar festive by using a colorful ribbon to tie on the recipe instructions along with a note from you. Using a small piece of material you can also cover the lid of the jar add the ribbon and you have "wrapped" your gift! The holidays will be here before we know it. The best gifts are the ones which come from the heart; the ones that warm the heart.

Supplies:

	2 one-quart jars
	Double Fudge Brownie Mix (see below)
	Ribbon
	Material
	A Blank Note card

Instructions: Double-Fudge Brownie Mix

	2 cups sugar
	1 cup cocoa (not Dutch process)
	1 cup all-purpose flour
	1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
	1 cup chocolate chips

Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight jar.

Preparation Directions

Double-Fudge Brownies
Makes 24

	1 cup butter or margarine, softened
	4 eggs
	1 package Double-Fudge Brownie Mix (this is the contents in the jar)

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 12 x 9 inch pan. In a large bowl beat the butter with a mixer until fluffy and light. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the Double-Fudge Brownie Mix & continue to beat the mixture until it is smooth. Spread the mixture into the greased pan, & bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
