Christmas is a time for family and friends to enjoy each
other. What better way to do that then to do a Christmas Craft together?
Children really enjoy making Christmas Crafts with an adult. These Christmas
craft ideas can be used by individuals or by groups. Also the best gifts
are the ones that are hand made. A great Christmas idea is to help a child on
your list to make a Christmas craft they can give as a Christmas gift.
Butcher Paper (you can use paper bags from the grocer too)
Precut sponges in various shapes, or cut your own from regular sponges (get
mom or dad to cut them)
Glitter
How To Make It
If cutting your own sponges, pick a simple shape such as a holly leaf,
berry, tree, Santa's hat, star, etc.
Pour paint onto saucer or other flat item.
Spread butcher paper out on flat surface.
Dip sponge in paint, making sure to cover entire surface. Sponge off
excess paint or your stamp will look blotchy.
Stamp sponge 2-4 times over surface of paper.
Reapply paint and repeat.
Sprinkle glitter over the wet painted paper and let dry.
Notes:
Try using gold and silver paint. They have great metallic paints available.
Try to use a theme for each sheet or wrapping paper. For example, if your theme
was Santa, you could use Santa mits, hats, sled, present, reindeer.
