A tip to the vet
When you decide to own a horse you need
to make sure that you first meet and set up services with a vet to care for
your horse. We use Dr. Dake. He has been in practice for many
many years. His son is also in practice with him.
Horses need regular checkups and
vaccinations. You also need to be prepared for an emergency. Don't
wait until you have an emergency to know who you will call.
These photos are of a trip to the vet
for "Big" and "Stryder". Big had an injury on his leg when we got him.
We kept cleaning it and putting antibiotic ointment on it, however it just
would not heal. So we had to take him to the vet. Stryder is nearing 2
year's old and needed to be gelded. |
